Grammy-nominated singer and songwriter Marsha Ambrosius brought the Nyla Tour to Sony Hall in New York City this past weekend and she rocked the house!
Not only is Marsha one of the best vocalists of our time, but she's also funny onstage. At one point during the show, the new mom incorporated a short grownup version of the viral "Baby Shark" song into her performance which sent waves of laughter throughout the crowd. The songstress, who is also one half of the neo-soul group Floetry, performed a number of her hit records, including Floetry's "Say Yes" and "Butterflies" (the song she co-wrote with Michael Jackson) as well as songs off her first solo album, such as "Far Away," "Hope She Cheats On You (With A Basketball Player), and "Your Hands."
Marsha recognized the couples boo'd up in the room as she passionately sung "Flood," one of my favorite songs off of her latest album, Nyla. Plus, she performed "Bottle Fulla Liquor," "Glass," and more.
I also had the pleasure of meeting Marsha after the show!
Leah Jenea, a singer from Newark, New Jersey who is known from season 2 of "The Four," opened the concert.
I uploaded some clips from the concert on my YouTube channel, check them out below!
