Toward the end of his acceptance speech, it appeared Drake was cut off as the show went to a commercial break. Drake just so happened to be in the middle of spitting some realness as he was downplaying the importance of awards, telling the crowd that as long as people were selling out for their shows, they were already winning.
"We play an opinion based sport, not a factual based sport... you already won if you have people singing your songs word for word, if they're singing in your hometown. You're already winning, you don't need this right here," Drake said during his acceptance speech.
I was actually surprised Drizzy even showed up since he reportedly declined to perform.
