Doctors say warm weather can have an impact on the penis
Apparently the hot weather is actually having one very positive effect on men. The heatwave is giving men 'summer penises,' some males claim. Doctors confirm 'summer penises' do exist, with one saying sweating and drinking more water makes male sexual organs appear 'bloated'This phenomenon in which heat causes the penis to appear bigger, is of course, not to be confused with summer penile syndrome, where men suffer with itchy, painful bites on their genitals.
According to The Mirror, the term 'summer penis' was coined by Tracy Moore of MEL Magazine, after stumbling across several instances of men claiming the warm weather was making their penis grow.
An example of this saw Reddit user Guillermo97 ask others if they experienced "bigger d*** in summer and smaller in winter".
He said: "Anybody notices size fluctuation during the year? I know mine is bigger, I have better erections in the summer and I also tend to be more of a shower instead of a grower. In the winter, it is the exact contrary. Why is that? More heat = better blood flow?"
