Donald Trump is firing back at Jay-Z after the hip hop star described Trump’s “shithole countries” comment as 'disappointing and hurtful.'
"Everyone feels anger, but after the anger it's really hurtful because he's looking down on a whole population of people and he's so misinformed because these places have beautiful people," he told Van Jones on the premiere of CNN's The Van Jones Show, where the rapper addressed Trump.
Asked by Van Jones whether it's okay for Trump "to say terrible things but put money in our pockets" amid Trump's claims that unemployment for African Americans has dropped, Jay-Z said no, "because it's not about money at the end of the day. Money doesn't equate to happiness. It doesn't. That's missing the whole point."
Well, Trump fired back at Jay-Z on Twitter:
"Somebody please inform Jay-Z that because of my policies, Black Unemployment has just been reported to be at the LOWEST RATE EVER RECORDED!"

Our economy is better than it has been in many decades. Businesses are coming back to America like never before. Chrysler, as an example, is leaving Mexico and coming back to the USA. Unemployment is nearing record lows. We are on the right track!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 28, 2018
Someone needs to inform @realdonaldtrump that I ALREADY asked Jay Z whether black employment figures redeem Trump’s presidency. And Jay’s answer last night on the #VanJonesShow was POWERFUL !!! ... Eminem has been criticizing Trump for months, Trump has never responded.— Kyle Griffin (@kylegriffin1) January 28, 2018
Interesting to see Trump respond to Jay-Z in less than 24-hours. https://t.co/8wLUY9maWM
