Google recently released its lists of trends for the most popular search terms, phrases and questions for the year and it looks like people are more inclined in Googling bad news!
The top searches include: hurricanes, shooting, death, and sexual harassment.Geez!
Hurricane Irma, Matt Lauer, and the late singer Tom Petty were the top three most searched in Google that caused the most traffic spikes in the U.S. this year, according to Google's annual list of the top trending searches for 2017.
"How to make slime" was the No. 1 "how" question people were searching. "How to buy bitcoin" was another common question.
Also topping off the most searched list is: Floyd Mayweather for the most searched athlete of this year, the iPhone 8 was the most searched in the consumer tech category, "IT" was the most searched movie, "Despacito" was the most searched for Songs/Lyrics, and "13 Reasons Why" was the most searched show.
Also worth pointing out ... Cardi B came in as the No. 2 most searched for Musicians and Bands, plus her hit "Bodak Yellow" came in No. 5 for most searched Songs/Lyrics.
