Remy Ma and Azealia Banks went back and forth trading insults on Instagram this weekend.
It all started over Remy's interview with Ebro in the Morning where the "Wake Me Up" rapper spoke on the status of women in hip-hop."When I came home it was nothing. It was tumbleweeds blowing through as far as female artists is concerned," Remy said during her interview.
Well, here comes Azealia Banks - who has gotten in plenty of social media spats with a number of female rappers - who jumped all over it and responded to Remy with a long rant:
"Remy - the hottest things you've released since you've been out of jail are Nicki love letters and she's still miles more important than you," Azealia wrote with a screenshot of Remy's quote.

Azealia then changed her caption and wrote:
"Ahem.... let me rephrase ... Remy ... you absolutely must step your shit up," she added. "The music you have been releasing is some serious old head rap shit and it's 100% unfair that you stand up on your reality tv booster seat and make any statements about female rap as if you have done a single thing to move the cultural needle since you've been home. It is not 2000."
This didn't sit well with Remy Ma who responded by exposing old texts she received from Azealia making her look desperate.
"Ayo, I know you ain’t talkin about me, dog. You? What?! You been on my dick; you love my style," she captioned the screenshots.
"Ps: I know you don’t want no smoke so I’ll play ya lil social media games until I allow my team to convince me to stop."
Remy even exposed an alleged text where Azealia supposedly vents about the appearance of her vagina and several more where she disses Nicki Minaj, who Azealia recently publicly made amends with.

"DONT FUCKIN CHANGE YA CAPTION NOW!" Remy wrote. "I got a year and a half more of u stalking me, hating on ya new fave, & getting ignored... I’m officially airing out ALL y’all chicks that was on MY line heavy when I touched down & now all of a sudden got amnesia."

If only Azealia Banks spent this same amount of energy towards her music instead of trying to shine in social media beefs.
Remy also went on Instagram live and talked even more about Azealia and even threw in a couple of shots at Nicki Minaj about her brother.

UPDATE: Azealia responded to Remy's response in a near 10-minute rant on her Instagram stories and says to leave Nicki Minaj alone.
