Brandy is not the one, okayyy!
Monica and Brandy have both said numerous times how much the legendary Whitney Houston has had an influence on them and their music careers.Well, yesterday was Whitney's birthday. Monica posted a photo of Whitney along with a short birthday message to the late singer on Instagram. Later on, Brandy did the same and posted a collage of her and Whitney with a longer message.
It didn't take long for fans to stir the pot as they started speaking out about Brandy, saying the singer was just trying to outdo Monica's post.
Both Whitney protégé's have had their share of back-and-forth beef since the '90s and it look like it hasn't gone away.
Brandy clapped back at Monica's fans and wrote a long essay on how Monica needs to check her "evil ass fans" and not everything is about her.
Bloop!
Check out Brandy's essay of a message to Monica and her "evil ass" fans below:
Let's keep it cute ladies! It was supposed to be about Whitney's birthday.
And, why couldn't Brandy just send a private DM to Monica? Posting this kind of message publicly only creates more drama and stirs up the fans even more as well as the media.

And, speaking of Brandy and Monica ... The Late Late Show host James Corden and Jeffrey Tambor recently recreated the classic "The Boy Is Mine" music video from 1998. Check it out below!
