JayZ Spills Hella Tea On New Album '4:44,' Name Drops Eric Benet, Kanye West & Future + Eric Benet Responds!


Everyone is talking about JayZ's "4:44" - his first album in four years - which dropped last night at midnight exclusively to Tidal and Sprint customers!

Jay's new album makes many personal references, including his confession of supposedly cheating on his wife, Beyonce, and him being okay with his mother coming out as being a lesbian. 

 So much tea has been dropped! Some think "4:44" is a direct response to Bey's Lemonade album. 

Eric Benet

On his track "Kill Jay Z," the rapper name drops Eric Benet when he raps:

 “You almost went Eric Benét / Let the baddest girl in the world get away / I don’t even know what else to say / Ni**a, never go Eric Benét.”

 As everyone knows, Benet supposedly cheated on his then-wife Halle Berry. And, it seems as if Jay is reflecting over his own past infidelities.

 Well, Benet had this to say in response to the mention:

Kanye West

Also in the song "Kill Jay Z," the rapper mentions his former pal, Kanye West. He references Kanye's 2004 studio album, The College Dropout, and when Kanye went on a rant last year during a concert about their friendship.

 "You dropped outta school, you lost your principles / You gave him 20 million without thinkin'," Jay Z raps while confirming the rumor that he lent Yeezy money. "He gave you 20 minutes on stage, f**k was he thinkin'?"

Future

Jay also talked about Future, Ciara, Russell Wilson and Baby Future when he rapped:

 "In the Future, other ni**as playin' football with your son."

 Jay is referencing the infamous photo of Ciara and Future's son on the field enjoying family time with his now-stepfather, Russell Wilson.

 And, Eric Benet, Future and Kanye West weren't the only ones mentioned on Jay's new album, Hova named dropped 37 people!
