Just minutes before midnight on New Years Eve, Stephen Hewett-Brown, a 25-year-old from the Bronx, was crushed between an elevator and a floor.
He died saving a woman from a falling elevator and reportedly told her "Happy New Year" as he pushed her to safety.
The young man didn't even live in the building but was there to attend a New Year's Eve party. He was rushed to the hospital after the accident but couldn't be saved.
