'The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air' Star Janet Hubert "Aunt Viv" Is Not Here For Jada Pinkett Smith's Oscars Boycott (Video)
Yesterday, I posted Jada Pinkett Smith's views on boycotting the Oscars due to a lack of diversity being shown at the award show. (Read that HERE if you missed it)
Well, Janet Hubert, the actress who played (the original) Aunt Viv on Will Smith's '90s sitcom Fresh Prince was not here for what Jada had to say!
She uploaded a video on her Facebook page and came at both Jada and Will and explained why she disagrees.
"First of all, Miss Thing, does your man not have a mouth of his own with which to speak?"
On Fresh Prince, Hubert played Aunt Viv from 1990 to 1993 before she was replaced by Daphne Maxwell-Reid. And for years, her and Will have had some sort of beef after she was supposedly fired from the show.
During her rant against Jada’s Oscars boycott, the actress called out Will Smith for not helping her and her former co-stars negotiate raises while she was on the show.
“Karma’s a b*tch,” Hubert exclaimed. “You ain’t Barack and Michelle Obama, and y'all need to get over yourselves.”
Ohhhhh, SNAP! Watch the full video clip below:
This tweet though:
How the fuk are we supposed to take Aunt Viv serious when she filtered her video like a comic book😫😂
