Actor Sam Sarpong has died in an apparent suicide after jumping off a bridge, according to US Weekly. He was only 40 years old.
The magazine's sources confirmed that Sarpong took his own life. The British-born actor appeared in campaigns for Hilfiger and Louis Vuitton, and was in shows for designers including Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, and Versace. He went on to branch into acting, appearing on shows like American Crime Story and My So-Called Life.
His sister June is a popular TV host in the U.K. You may also remember Sarpong in the 2001 TV movie Carmen: A Hip Hopera where he starred alongside Mos Def, Mekhi Phifer and Beyonce. He also starred in the popular movie Love Don't Cost A Thing.
