Paul Walker's daughter has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Porsche, claiming the sports car he was riding in had multiple design flaws.
Nearly two years after the Fast & Furious star and his financial adviser were killed in a car crash, the teenage daughter of Walker went after the Volkswagen-owned luxury car manufacturer for her father’s death, according to Deadline.
The suit, filed Monday (Sept. 28) on behalf of 16-year-old Meadow Rain Walker, seeks unspecified damages for defects it alleges contributed to her father's death.
An investigation by law enforcement of the Nov. 30, 2013 crash of the 2005 Porsche Carrera CT that saw Walker and driver Roger Rodas both killed said speed was the cause of the accident.
In the complaint filed, Meadow Rain Walker’s lawyers say that the actor died because the car lacked the necessary electronic stability control system and he was trapped in the burning vehicle by a “defective” seat belt, among other causes.
"The bottom line is that the Porsche Carrera GT is a dangerous car. It doesn't belong on the street," Walker's attorney, Jeff Milam, said in a statement. (via: CNN)
"And we shouldn't be without Paul Walker or his friend, Roger Rodas."
But, Porsche said the car is not at fault, the people behind the wheel were, Deadline reports.
