Zendaya's red carpet look at the Oscars this past Sunday
Oh no she didn't! ... Yes, she did!

Yesterday, I posted the fabulous Academy Award red carpet looks which included 18-year-old actress Zendaya.

I said, "Zendaya is sporting faux locs and looks stunning in an ivory Vivienne Westwood"

Well, guess who wasn't feeling Zendaya's red carpet Oscar's look? Giuliana Rancic who is one of the co-hosts of the popular TV series, Fashion Police.

Giuliana and her team are known to "dissect the celebrity fashion blunders and triumphs of the moment" and sometimes they may come off a little harsh.

People were coming for Giuliana Rancic on Twitter and Instagram
and poking fun at her thin frame after
her comments about Zendaya

Last night, a video made its way around social media in which you hear Giuliana critiquing Zendaya's hair on the Fashion Police.

She says, "I feel like she smells like patchouli oil ... or weed, maybe weed."

Hunh!? So people who wear dreads smell like weed??

While keeping it classy, Zendaya publicly responded to Giuliana on her Instagram page and said:

"There is a fine line between what is funny and [what is] disrespectful. Someone said something about my hair at the Oscars that left me in awe. Not because I was relishing in rave outfit reviews, but because I was hit with ignorant slurs and pure disrespect. To say that an 18-year-old woman with locs must smell of patchouli oil or "weed" is not only a large stereotype but outrageously offensive... There is already harsh criticism of African American hair in society without the help of ignorant people who choose to judge others based on the curl of their hair..."

So, I guess after all of the backlash Giuliana received about her comments, only then did she feel the need to apologize via Twitter. The Fashion Police co-host tweeted Zendaya and said she was sorry and never meant to offend her or anyone else:

Chileeee please! Ain't nobody trying to hear this now, lol.

People on Twitter also started coming for Kelly Osbourne who is also one of the co-hosts.

Kelly seemed confused and didn't know why people were attacking her when she wasn't the one who made the hair comments. She said Zendaya is her friend, but those responding to her said Kelly should have said something to Giuiliana, if she was such a friend of Zendaya's.

The Fashion Police crew
Brad Goreski, Kelly Osbourne, Kathy Griffin, and Giuliana Rancic
Khloe Kardashian offered her two cents as well on Twitter, but quickly deleted it. She said:

"@Zendaya you are gorgeous, intelligent young lady! I love all that you represent! Keep empowering and shine bright!" And, she included a kissing red lips emoji at the end.

Well, lesson of the day: Watch what you say... or you will get burned on social media. Ha!

- Zendaya referred to India Arie's song "I Am Not My Hair" in her statement. Check out that video below... maybe Giuliana should watch the video too.
