The 37-year-old English singer-songwriter talks about reuniting with Natalie Stewart, the Floacist and bringing their neo-soul group Floetry back together. She also discusses how it is being a songwriter, Black Lives Matter, connecting with her fans (Martians) on social media, Lauryn Hill and much more.
Did you know: Marsha has written for Jazmine Sullivan, JoJo, Letoya Luckett, Solange and many more artists!?
I also learned during her interview, that smash hit Michael Jackson song "Butterflies," was Marsha's song! I love that song and never knew it was originally Marsha's. I actually thought Floetry redid the song which is off their 2002 Floetic album.
This picture has surfaced online and there are rumors that Floetry will be embarking on a tour this year Floetry is also scheduled to perform at the Essence Festival in New Orleans this summer Photo credit: Instagram |
Marsha said during her interview with TEAm Curtains, she originally gave "Butterflies" to Babyface and a bunch of other people and they didn't want it! But, Michael heard the song on a demo and took it. Wow! Those other people sure did miss out on a great song.
