Afroman Arrested for Knocking Out a Female Fan Onstage, Apologizes For His Actions

Afroman, who is known for his 2000 hit "Because I Got High," was arrested for straight up knocking out a female fan onstage!

In the video footage below, which has now gone viral, a female fan is seen dancing on stage and backing her thang up on Afroman. The musician whose real name is Joseph Edgar Foreman, knocks her out, like really knocks her out with a swing of his arm and his hand.

The 40-year-old musician was arrested for simple assault and then later released on $330 bail. In a statement, his spokesperson said, "This was a completely involuntary reflex reaction to people infringing on his stage space."

He added, "It was uncharacteristic behaviour that was initiated by outside uncontrolled forces."

Afroman also tweeted, "It is what it is."

The singer then apologized in a live video stream, blaming a "lack of security" for the incident. He said to TMZ Live yesterday, "I wanna apologize for my actions."

He went on to say that he's enrolling in a program to manage his anxiety, which he also blames the assault on. Afroman also thought that the woman in question was a man who had been heckling him and yelling "obscenities" all night.

Oh goodness. Who even knew Afroman still performed? I sure as hell didn't.
