J. Cole Joins New York Protesters in Marching for Eric Garner, #CrimingWhileWhite Trends on Twitter After Grand Jury Decision

Police brutality is caught on video here as Eric Garner said his last words "I can't breathe" EIGHT times as he died on the sidewalk in a chokehold.

 

"Every time you see me, you want to mess with me. I'm tired of it. It stops today. Why would you...? Everyone standing here will tell you I didn't do nothing. I did not sell nothing. Because every time you see me, you want to harass me. You want to stop me... Selling cigarettes. I'm minding my business, officer, I'm minding my business. Please just leave me alone. Peaceful Protests Unfold

Yesterday a grand jury decided not to indict a police officer in the death of Eric Garner who was choked in Staten Island on July 17th.

This decision came about a week after there was no indictment in the Ferguson case where a white officer shot and killed an unarmed black teenager, Michael Brown. 

Peaceful protests unfolded nationwide with many taking place in malls on Black Friday in support of Mike Brown. 

 

This picture is powerful. Protesters lie down to represent the four hours Mike Brown's body was in the street after he was killed in August.

J. Cole Joins Protesters

And last night, protesters marched all over the country in support of Eric Garner. Rapper J. Cole was spotted as he joined New York protesters.

#CrimingWhileWhite Trends

Hashtags like #EricGarner #ICantBreathe and #BlackLivesMatter swept over social media. Then, an interesting hashtag started trending #CrimingWhileWhite where white people confess to crimes they committed but got away with. 

Now, I'm not sure if some of these stories are fabricated or are 100% true, but I was just scrolling through my Twitter timeline last night and I really had that Fresh Prince look like:

Now, another hashtag was created in response to #CrimingWhileWhite. Blacks are discussing ways they face discrimination in American life, using #AliveWhileBlack.
