Earlier today MTV Challenge veteran Diem Brown lost her battle with cancer and passed away at the young age of 32.
Back in September, Diem and her on-again-off-again boyfriend and also MTV Challenge co-star Chris "CT" Tamburello were both reportedly filming the next rumored season of The Challenge Battle of the Exes 2 (due to premiere next year), and during one of the challenges, Diem collapsed on set. She was then reportedly airlifted from Panama to New York where CT soon followed to be by her side.
Diem got her start on the MTV's Real World/Road Rules Challenge. She is also the founder of fundraising service MedGift where she became an inspiration for others going through similar battles.
In 2006, Diem opened up about her cancer. The reality star and advocate has beat cancer twice before, having been diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2006 and again in 2012. Just last month, Diem revealed that cancer was found in her stomach and colon in August and it had spread to her liver and lymph nodes.
Diem's last tweets to her Twitter account came on Dec. 11th when she said doctors were giving up but she was still fighting:
"I NEED PRAyErs and advice my doctors are seemingly giving up but I won't & can't rollover. Whatever option I have to LIVE I'm grabbing!"
"Need prayers, advice, support & outreach. No is not an option. Contact @alicialquarles We know there is hope & help"
Friends and family had been gathering at her bedside at a New York City hospital this week as her condition worsened, according to People magazine.
"No matter what it is, you're going to have the bad days, but if you have hope throughout, you won, no matter what the results... Life is so beautiful," the reality star said last month.
RIP Diem.
