The Single Ladies star announced yesterday (Oct. 27) that her company Parkwood is forming a 50-50 joint venture to produce global “athletic street wear” with Topshop, owned by London-based billionaire Sir Philip Green.
As of now, the name of the new fashion line is unknown, but the clothes are expected to be distributed in Nordstrom and other retailers next year. The singer will produce clothing, footwear and accessories which will be sold in Topshop stores and online.
This isn't the first deal for Beyonce, remember her clothing line House of Deréon which was announced to the public 10 years ago. Wow, it has been that long! I used to love rocking those hoodies in college.
Beyonce also partnered with H&M last summer to create a brightly colored swimwear collection.
“I could not think of a better partner as I continue to grow the Parkwood business. I have always loved Topshop for its fashion credentials and forward-thinking. Working with its development team to create and produce a technical and fashion-led collection is exciting and I’m looking forward to participating in all aspects of this partnership.”
Topshot tweeted out yesterday:
"Have you heard?! We're teaming up with the one and only @Beyonce to create an athletic + fitness streetwear brand!"
Go Beyonce! She really does it all!
