President Obama, Gabby Douglas & Jay-Z are Nominated for Time Magazine's "Person of the Year"

Time magazine editors have released their list for "2012 Person of the Year." There are 38 contenders including President Obama, Mitt Romney, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and Olympic gymnast Gabby Douglas.

Also nominated are Jay-Z, South Korean pop sensation PSY, and even a Russian punk rock band called P**sy Riot.

In 2011, The Protester was named the "Person of the Year," following the widespread reach of the Occupy Wall Street campaign against big business.

Cast your vote for the person you think most influenced the news this year for better or worse. Voting closes at 11:59 p.m. on December 12th and the winner will be announced on December 14th.
