Extreme Nail Trends: Daily Mail recently published an article about the latest Hollywood trend: female celebrities are rocking stiletto nails.


This new razor-sharp nail-art trend has made a splash on Rihanna, Adele, Nicki Minaj, Heidi Klum, Lady Gaga, Beyonce Fergie and Jessie J. 

According to the Daily Mail, these nails are named after stiletto knives, 'thin deadly daggers.' The look is said to be appealing as it "elongates the fingers and gives a big surface to show off bright varnishes and nail art."

Daily Mail says the trend was first spotted on Lady Gaga in 2010 when she was pictured curling her hands into claws at photographers.

Rihanna rocks the nude stiletto look

Although the razor sharp nail long is popular among the celebs, Daily Mail says this look hasn't caught the attention of the general public yet. 


In a poll for InStyle magazine, 92% of respondents gave the nail look a 'thumbs down' and men don't seem to like the look either.


I'm not feeling these nails but if you do decide to rock this look, make sure you don't poke yourself or anyone else.
