In Project X three high school kids throw a birthday party to make a name for themselves and one uses his own house being that his parents go away. As the night progresses, things take a wrong turn and spiral out of control as word of the party spreads.
According to reports, over 1,000 people showed up to a Houston teen party which was inspired by Project X.
The party was advertised on Twitter and Facebook and offered free drugs and alcohol for all those in attendance. And just like in the movie, patrol officers showed up to the scene after receiving a noise complaint and kids were running around everywhere. Several attendees of the party fired off guns which hit and killed one teen.
Project X has received good ratings and everyone is talking about the craziness that happens but the movie is getting ripped apart by critics with people saying the movie sends a wrong message to teens. Now look, students want a Project X type of party. I wonder if that planned sequel is still going to happen?
