When the magazine’s reporter asked Keri to pose for the television cameras while holding the magazine’s latest issue, she said yes, then she asked who was on the cover and after getting a better look at the cover — which features Beyonce and Jay-Z, Keri's "yes" turned to a "NO" as she said, “No, I can’t do that — I’m sorry.”
After refusing to hold up the magazine which promoted Beyonce on the cover, Keri still gave a verbal plug for the magazine.
So I'm trying to figure out why did Keri declined to hold up the magazine after seeing the cover? Does she not like Beyonce? Is she a little jealous of Beyonce's career? Is there some hush hush beef between the two singers?
Well there were rumors that back in '09 Keri dissed Beyonce in her "Turnin' Me On" Remix AND.... Keri has mentioned Beyonce's name in an interview with Vibe magazine during the beginning of this year AND... I also read that Keri wanted to sing on Usher's "Love in this Club Part II," the remix but instead Beyonce's vocals were used and instead Keri played Usher's love interest in the "Love in this Club" video.
The Soul Train Music Awards premieres this Sunday at 9 p.m. on Centric.
