A celebratory victory for many as people headed to Times Square and infront of the White House gathering in crowds, some carrying the American flag, to cheer on the death of major terrorist Osama Bin Laden.
Continous news coverage showed some of the families who lost loved ones in 9/11 as they felt a sigh of relief that Osama is now gone.
New pages were even made on Facebook like, "Osama Bin Laden is dead 5/1/11" with over 176,000 people who already joined that page and counting. Here's what some followers of the page said:
"I love all these people making jokes about Osama bin Laden's death. They're not funny at all."
"People, be careful. Osama Bin Laden's death is in no way assurance of a world now free of terror -- by no means..."
"it's good news that #osama is dead but why do people need to cheer & wave flags? we shouldn't celebrate murder, even that of a monster"
"One man is dead. For it to happen, tens of thousands of people were killed. A rather dark congratulations is in order. #osama"
"How many innocent people (past, present & future) will have to die for Osama's death? Is this a victory?"
