Last Night's Rutgers Fest turns Violent

A packed audience in last years Rutgers Fest

I've been to the packed annual Rutgers Fest once before, which is a day long of different events and concerts.

It tends to get crazy there and boy am I glad I wasn't partying around there this year. 

ABC News just reported, Rutgers Fest which took place at the Busch Campus in Piscataway, attracted thousands of people this year. There were after parties in New Brunswick that turned violent. 

Four people were shot and injured last night, one shot in the buttocks and another person was grazed by a bullet.

The streets were packed and full of kids, drinking everywhere. The shootings didn't take place on Rutgers campus but the administration is still concerned.

“It boggles my mind that a university in this day and age would sponsor an event promoting drinking to this level by underage people,” a Police Director says.

“RutgersFest is the worst thing of the year for the city of New Brunswick.”
