Starting this fall, gay, lesbian and transgendered students on Rutgers University’s New Brunswick campus can choose to dorm with either male or female. Men and women can also share bathrooms.
"In response to Clementi's death, the university announced that incoming freshmen will be able to choose roommates of the opposite sex who support their sexual identity, parents will not be allowed to veto their decision and students will not be asked if they are gay" - New Jersey Star Ledger reported
